Kylian Mbappe's eagerly awaited transfer to Spanish champions Real Madrid is set to be officially announced early next week.

Los Blancos are reportedly planning a historic unveiling ceremony for Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu next month, according to multiple sources.

When the Spanish giants introduced Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009, over 80,000 fans attended. Mbappe's unveiling might draw a similar or even larger crowd.

According to Goal, Mbappe officially ended his career with PSG on Saturday, May 25, during the French Cup final.

The captain of the French national team, who will be available on June 30 when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires, has decided to sign for Real after seven seasons in Paris.

Per Marca, the 26-year-old will be announced as a Real Madrid player on Monday, June 3 — roughly 72 hours from now.

If the move is announced as expected, Mbappe is unlikely, according to several media outlets, to be presented in the Spanish capital before the end of Euro 2024, which runs from June 14 to July 14.

For the moment, he is expected to remain with the France team which has been in camp in Clairefontaine since Wednesday ahead of two Euro warm-up matches.

They face Luxembourg in Metz on Wednesday and Canada in Bordeaux four days later.

Inside Mbappe and PSG's financial war

The saga between Kylian Mbappe and PSG has taken a new turn, with reports indicating the French club has yet to pay the forward his April salary, as reported by Sports Brief.

PSG president Al-Khelaifi, responsible for the club's dealings with Mbappe, reportedly reversed his stance on bonuses and is now seeking compensation from his future team.

The only Italian club Mbappe can play for

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on Mbappe naming the only Italian club he could play for if he were to play in Serie A.

Whereas Real Madrid are the frontrunners for his services, the forward has teased a move to the Italian top flight, conceding that anything is possible.

Speaking recently, the French Ligue 1 Golden Boot winner disclosed that AC Milan are the only club he can turn out for in the division.
