Most valuable foreigners in DStv Premiership

Marcelo Allende

The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has proven to be quite the signing.

The Chilean international signed for the DStv Premiership side in 2022 and has made 76 appearances, scoring eight and notching up eight assists.

Allende signed from Montevideo City Torque in Uruguay and is valued at €2,30 million.

Peter Shalulile

The Namibian international has been competing in South Africa since 2015.

The former Tura Magic FC star first signed for Highlands Park before moving to Sundowns.

As noted by FAR Post, Shalulile is one of the non-South African players who have earned permanent residency due to their lengthy stay in the country.

Shalulile is currently valued at €2,20 million.

Matías Esquivel

An Argentine 25-year-old, Esquivel signed for Sundowns at the beginning of 2024.

Signed from Club Atlético Lanús, the midfielder has made just 13 appearances for the team, scoring two goals so far.

When he was signed, the midfielder was the joint most valuable player in the league, but he is now valued at €2,20 million.

Lucas Ribeiro

The Brazilian attacker is one of Sundowns’ numerous South American talent, and they signed for the club at the beginning of the season.

The 25-year-old has impressed for the club, scoring 16 goals in 36 games.

He was in the running for the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award before suffering an injury before the end of the season.

He is valued at €1,20 million

Ghampani Lungu

The Zambian international is the only player not from Sundowns in the top five.

Lunga, a Zambian national, currently plies his trade for SuperSport United.

The 25-year-old has played 162 games for Matsatsantsa a Pitori and is valued at €1 million.
