Kaizer Chiefs are likely to offload up to nine players from their team this summer after a disastrous campaign in the 2023-24 DStv Premiership season.

The Glamour Boys finished outside the top eight, extending their trophyless season to nine. They won't participate in next season's MTN8 competition.

Aside from appointing a new coach, which is top on the list, the Soweto Giants are reportedly set to overhaul their entire squad ahead of next season.

According to a report by the South African, Kaizer Chiefs could part ways with close to nine players, with new players set to come in.

Nine players who could exit Kaizer Chiefs

A few players could face the axe this summer as Kaizer Chiefs are set to rebuild their entire squad.

Siyethemba Sithebe is expected to stay after the club reportedly offered him a new contract, but Keagan Dolly could be on his way out of the club.

The club's highest-paid player is one of the nine players who could leave the Naturena this summer.

Itumeleng Khune has been confirmed to leave after 25 years at the club. He was given a farewell in the final game of the season against Cape Town City.

Dolly, Khune, are joined by Njabulo Ngcobo, George Matlou, Edson Castillo, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Tebogo Potsane, Samkelo Zwane, and Jasond Gonzales, as players who are could be shown the exit doors.

Spurs place R6m fee on Chiefs target

Sports Brief earlier reported on Cape Town Spurs placing a R6 million price tag on Rushwin Dortley, who is Kaizer Chiefs transfer target.

The Glamour Boys will face stiff competition from other teams showing interest in the South African defender, but they could win the race if they cough up the transfer fee.

The R6 million price tag the Urban Warriors placed on Dortley proves to be a fair price, as the defender is versatile and young.
