Mofokeng's journey to the national side has been rapid. The Sharpeville-born talent joined the Pirates youth setup in 2022 before being promoted to the first team last year. In the 2022/23 season, he played in 37 matches across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
Broos believes Mofokeng's inclusion in the national team setup will provide the youngster with invaluable international experience, even if he may not be a regular starter in the initial stages.
