Belgian manager, Hugo Broos, has announced his final 23-man Bafana Bafana squad for the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Nigeria and Zimbabwe in June.
Two weeks ago, the former Cameroon national team coach released a 36-man preliminary list, with a few players earning their first call-ups.
Relebohile Mofokeng was the only one out of the three newcomers on the preliminary list to make the final list.
The major upset in the final selection was Evidence Makgopa's exclusion from the 23-man list. The Orlando Pirates man was the main striker for Bafana Bafana at the 2023 African Cup of Nations but lost his place to Lyle Foster.
