It is slightly over two weeks before Germany takes on Scotland in the opening game of the 2024 Euro Championships. Preparations have already begun in earnest as team managers continue to unveil their squads for the month-long tournament.

The selected players were given a couple of days off before they report to camp. A couple of friendly matches have been lined up to test their readiness before kickoff on June 14.

While players like Jude Bellingham will have minimal time off due to their involvement in the Champions League final, his fellow called-up England teammates have seized the opportunity to unwind before linking up at St.Georges Park on May 29.

Sports Brief has sampled what some of the players are doing with their free time before getting back to business.

1. Ollie Watkins and Conor Gallagher - Ibiza

Only Cole Palmer had more goal involvements than the Aston Villa man in what was a successful season for the striker. His wife, Ellie Alderson, shared photos of the family enjoying some downtime on the Spanish island of Ibiza. The couple has two children.

Chelsea's stand0n captain for most of the season, Conor Gallagher, was also in Ibiza with his girlfriend, Aine May Kennedy.

2. Dean Henderson - Dubai

The Crystal Palace goalkeeper's resurgence under new boss Oliver Glasner earned him a place in the provisional squad. it is highly unlikely he will be Gareth Southgate's first-choice given that his preferred number one, Jordan Pickford, had an ever much better season.

That notwithstanding, the former Manchester United goalkeeper took his family to the luxurious Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel in Dubai.

3. Ivan Toney - Dubai

Ivan Toney was included in the squad, as he was in the March games despite missing eight months due to the gambling ban.

Like Henderson, the Brentford striker took his family to Dubai, where he played with his two children on the beach.

4. Trent Alexander-Arnold - Monaco

The Liverpool right-back was among the high-profile names who headlined the Monaco Grand Prix on May 26. The defender then shared photos of him cruising on a boat before hitting the grid.

He was listed as a midfielder in the Southgate squad and it will be interesting to see where he is used.

5. James Maddison - Golf

James Maddison elected to remain in England and played in his golf tournament, the Maddison Invitational. The Tottenham Hotspur striker will join the squad a little bit later after his side were involved in post-season activities in Melbourne, Australia.

Other players of the provisional squad are understood to be working against time to be fit for the tournament. Captain Harry Kane picked up a back injury and missed Bayern Munich's last two games. Manchester United duo Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are also still out with injury.

The Three Lions will play Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia in Group C.

Thibaut Courtois absent from Belgium squad

Sports Brief has also reported on the Belgium provisional squad for Euro 2024.

The major omission is Thibaut Courtois, who despite returning to full fitness in recent weeks, has been left out.

The Real Madrid shot-stopper suffered an ACL injury at the start of this season.
