Luis Enrique snubs Mbappe from major honour

However, despite his incredible run of form, Get Football News reports that Enrique snubbed him while naming PSG's player of the season.

According to the Spaniard, that honour belongs to Vitinha, who has consistently improved this season since his arrival in the summer of 2022.

"For me, [Vitinha] is the player of the season. If you add up his qualities as a footballer, he is the best in the team and yet all of the players are good, but he is exceptional," the PSG manager said in a post-match press conference.

Meanwhile, Enrique's claim comes ahead of Mbappe's departure from Parc des Princess.

The 25-year-old recently announced via a video published on his social media platforms that he would be departing PSG this summer.

Real Madrid are the leading contenders to land the Frenchman on a free transfer.
