In a video clip circulating on social media, Benin players were singing the popular Yoruba Christian music 'Kabiyesi o' which is a song used in praising God.

The players sat around their long dinner table and used their cutleries to make an enjoyable beat as they praised God in the Yoruba dialect.

Many parts of Benin understand the Yoruba language as they share border towns with Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states.

Benin are just a point behind the Nigerian side in Group L and a win would earn them the ticket to the 2022 AFCON slated for Cameroon.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that the much-anticipated AFCON 2022 qualifiers may have suffered a huge setback as reports claim that two Benin players have tested positive for coronavirus.

Renowned sports journalist Charles Anazodo made the revelation on his official Twitter handle as he said:

"Reports from Cotonou says two Benin Republic players have tested positive to Covid-19."

An official statement is yet to be made by the Benin Football Federation regarding the latest development as the match is just a few hours away from kick-off.
