Triple H, WWE's chief content officer, has sent Bayer Leverkusen custom-made WWE belts to congratulate them on winning their first-ever Bundesliga title.

Leverkusen ended Bayern Munich's 11-year dominance in the German Bundesliga to lift their first league title.

Xabi Alonso's side also became the first-ever team to win the Bundesliga without tasting defeat.

The WWE legend shared the news on his social media and congratulated Leverkusen on their historic achievement. He also wished them well in Saturday's German Cup final against Kaiserslautern.

Alonso's side finished their unbeaten Bundesliga season with 28 wins, six draws and zero defeats, a remarkable feat for the club, which experienced near misses in the last few decades.

Before their defeat in the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday, May 22, Leverkusen were on an incredible 51-match unbeaten run. Atalanta emphatically ended their run thanks to Ademola Lookman's hat-trick.

Triple H was also promoting WWE Bash, the first Premium Live Event to be held in Germany. It will take place on August 31 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin.

Leverkusen stars, Victor Boniface and Edmond Tapsoba received their belts.

Leverkusen can end a brilliant season by lifting another trophy on Saturday.

Leverkusen beaten in Europa League final

Sports Brief earlier reported on Atalanta beating Leverkusen 3-0 in the 2024 Europa League final to win their first trophy since 1963.

Ademola Lookman was the star of the show as he scored an incredible hat-trick. Alonso's side had no answer for the Nigerian's heroics.

Leverkusen were favourites to win the trophy but were upset by a resilient Atalanta side.

Alonso seeking to bounce back

Sports Brief also reported on Alonso breaking his silence following Leverkusen's defeat in the Europa League final.

He said his team have come to terms with their painful loss in Dublin and are now focused on the DFB Pokal final.
