Chelsea skipper Reece James has issued an apology to Mauricio Pochettino after the Argentine's Stamford Bridge exit.
Pochettino departed Chelsea on Tuesday, May 21, by mutual consent after just a season in charge.
According to Metro UK, the tactician's departure surprised many, as he was expected to continue next season.
While the former Tottenham Hotspur boss endured a difficult start to life at the West London club, he had a strong end to the campaign, which saw his side pick up five consecutive wins in the Premier League.

However, Chelsea's top brass still decided to get rid of him after an end-of-season review, which eventually brought Poch's short stint to an end.
Reece James apologises to Pochettino
James has since taken to Instagram to issue an apology to Pochettino following the tactician's exit.
The England international was sorry not to have featured often under the Argentine due to injuries.
"Thank you for everything boss. We had an amazing relationship from the moment we met," James Posted.
"I never played as much as I would have hoped under you, which I am sorry for but also something I couldn’t control. You believed in me and gave me a huge responsibility when many others doubted me," he continued.
The England international started just six games under Pochettino due to a hamstring injury which required surgery in December.
