Ademola Lookman's youth team coach could not hold back his tears as he watched the Nigerian score a hat-trick to win the Europa League for Atalanta.

The man known by his first name Felix, travelled to Dublin to watch the final between the Italian club and German champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Lookman was the star of the show scoring twice in the first half before wrapping up a Man of the Match performance with a belter in the second half.

In a video shared on social media, Felix confessed that he cried after Lookman's third goal went in at the Aviva Stadium.

Felix was also spotted with the Lookman family after the game as they celebrated the biggest night of the winger's career.

The Super Eagles forward, who was born in England, started his career at Waterloo, where he spent five years before moving to Charlton in 2013. He spent time at Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham and Leicester before joining Atalanta in 2022.

The 26-year-old has been in blistering form in 2024, reaching three finals including the Africa Cup of Nations and the Coppa Italia.

Lookman celebrates with mother after UEL final

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ademola Lookman celebrated with his mother after scoring a hat-trick to win the Europa League for Atalanta.

The Nigeria forward stole the show with a masterful performance as the Italian outfit ended the German champions' unbeaten run.

Lookman opened the scoring early in the game after blindsiding Exequiel Palacios to fire home in the 12th minute before curling home from outside the box for his second halfway through the first half.

Drury delivers poetic commentary on Lookman

Sports Brief also reported that famous commentator, Peter Drury had the perfect words to describe Ademola Lookman's performance after the Nigerian scored a hat-trick to win the Europa League for Atalanta.

The Super Eagles forward tore apart the Bayer Leverkusen team with a final treble to end their 51-match unbeaten run in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Lookman scored a quick-fire first-half brace before wrapping it up with a belter in the second half.
