In a highly anticipated DStv Premiership clash, champions Mamelodi Sundowns were held to a 1-1 draw by TS Galaxy in a tempestuous encounter at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday, May 21.
The game was marred by the long-standing feud between the two managers, which has now escalated into legal action.
Over the past few months, there has been a widely publicised war of words between Galaxy coach, Sead Ramović, and his Sundowns counterpart, Rulani Mokwena.
This heated rivalry was observable on the pitch, with both sides trading accusations and complaints about the officiating and each other's conduct.

Mokwena, visibly frustrated by the outcome, made no secret of his disdain for playing against Ramovic's side. He argued that several key decisions went against his team, including a penalty claim for Tashreeq Matthews in the first half and another for Siyabonga Mabena in the second half.
“I don’t like that. I am not involved in football for that. I love football for friendship, memories, the purity of the game, and the joy it brings to people. Playing TS Galaxy at the moment is torture that I don’t enjoy," he said, as quoted by Times Live.
TS Galaxy take Mokwena to court
Tensions between the two clubs have now escalated off the field as well. Per SABC Sport, just hours before the match, TS Galaxy confirmed that they had approached the high court regarding Mokwena's alleged defamatory comments about the German manager.
