Adebayo Akinfenwa reveals when he wants to quit playing football

Adebayo Akinfenwa who is regarded as the strongest footballer on earth has made it clear that he is considering playing football for the next two years before he can hang his boots.

Despite being disturbed by a nagging knee problem, Akinfewa who will be turning 39 in the month of May this year explained that he wants to hit 40 years before quitting the round leather game.

Akinfenwa who is the father to boys Ajani, 11, Jai, 10, five-year-old Jaylan and daughters Kamira, 13, and eight-year-old Kaliyah stated that he wants to continue playing so as for him to be able to cater for his children.

His club in the Championship Wycombe Wanderers will be facing Tottenham in their next game on Monday night, January 25, in the English FA Cup fourth round.

According to the report on Daily Mail, Akinfewa explained that he is going through pain, but he has to adapt to his current situation because of his family.

''Mine is pushing through the pain barrier because I am inspired by a fear of not being able to care for and feed my children.

''If I won the lottery, I would maybe be sitting on the beach somewhere, but I have to persevere with what I'm doing.

''I did want to play until I'm 40, which would mean continuing for one more season, but how I feel at the end of this campaign will determine my decision.''
