Mamelodi Sundowns may have already been crowned DStv Premiership champions, but they still have much to play for in their remaining two games.
The Brazilians will face TS Galaxy in their penultimate game, and there are more than just the three points on offer in this one.
Sports Brief looks at four reasons this fixture promises to be a must-watch.

Sundowns are chasing history

Rulani Mokwena’s men are chasing history in South African football.
No team has gone a whole league season unbeaten, something the Brazilians can achieve if they don’t lose their next two games.
Sundowns are also unbeaten in the last 52 league games and could extend that to 54 this weekend.
TS Galaxy’s best finish to a season
TS Galaxy are flying this season.
The Rockets are currently fourth in the league, six points behind Orlando Pirates, the team they beat in their last fixture.
Galaxy are also guaranteed to finish in the top eight this season, no matter what happens in their final two games.
Galaxy have only beaten Sundowns once
This game represents Galaxy’s best chance to topple the giants.
The two sides have met eight times, with Sundowns winning six and the Rockets claiming one win. There was also one draw.
Man City close in on Premier League title, Burnley relegated
FootballThey also have not been beaten in their last four games and picked up a significant result against another DStv Premiership powerhouse when they beat Pirates.
Beating Sundowns and ending their undefeated streak will be a great achievement and a fine way to pick up their second win.
The animosity between the coaches
Rulani Mokwena and Sead Ramovic do not like each other at all.
The two managers have been at loggerheads since November 2023 when Ramovic accused the Sundowns manager of disrespecting Galaxy’s win over the Brazilians in the Carling Knockout Round of 16, GOAL reported.
The war of words didn’t stop there. Recently, Mokwena accused Ramovic of ordering his players to hurt Bongani Zungu during a fixture.
Sundowns set a new league record
Sports Brief previously reported how Sundowns had broken another record, one set by them under Pitso Mosimane.
The Brazilians recently beat Stellenbosch FC 1-0 at the Parow Park Stadium, bringing their season point total to 72.
The previous highest points tally was 71 points, which was achieved by Mosimane's side in the 2015/16 season.
