Ajax legend, Tijani Babangida, is still recovering from a tragic accident that took the lives of his younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida, and his son.
Tributes from the football world have been pouring in, with his former club sending their message of solitary as he mourns the loss of his loved ones.
His former coach, Louis van Gaal, has also sent his message to Babangida during this challenging time.
Tijani and his wife were seriously injured in the accident that took place a few days ago in northern Nigeria and are still receiving treatment in the hospital.

The president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau, visited the former Super Eagles star in the hospital.
"We are devastated to learn of this tragedy and our hearts go to Tijani and his family on this painful loss," Gusau said via ESPN. "We condole with him on the loss of his son and brother and pray for a quick and full recovery for him and his wife."
Tijani shared Van Gaal's message on his Instagram account.
"Hello, Tijani; I can't stop thinking about you. We have been able to read everything in our Dutch newspapers about you—the loss of your son and your youngest brother—and you just have to process all that. I wish you a lot of power and strength in the coming period."
In 2021, the 50-year-old said the former Manchester United boss was his best coach. The winger represented 30 times and was part of the squad that won gold in the 1996 Olympic games.
