Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.

The Blues are expected to enter the market for reinforcements after a mixed run of form and results this season.

The 2021 Champions League winners are set to end the campaign without a trophy, with Liverpool denying them that opportunity in February when they met in the Carabao Cup final.

According to SPORTbible, the west Londoners spent the better part of the season wallowing in mid-table after a disappointing streak of results.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's men have seemingly rediscovered their form in the second half of the campaign, which could see them sneak into Europe with a sixth-place finish.

But still this will not be a satisfactory result for Chelsea, especially considering their expenditure of more than £1 billion under Todd Boehly.

Be that as it may, Chelsea are still intent to strengthen their squad in the summer.

The BBC reports that the English club are set to complete the Estevao Willian from Palmeiras.

The publication reports that both clubs have agreed an initial fee of £29million for the winger.

It is understood that the deal includes performance-related add-ons for the highly-rated Brazilian ace.

The same has since been confirmed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who tweeted:

"Chelsea reach verbal agreement to sign Brazilian gem Willian Estevão, here we go! Palmeiras ready to accept final bid worth €40m plus €25m add-ons."
