Finidi George is expected to make adjustments to his squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin next month in two make-or-mar games for the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old tactician had reportedly submitted a 35-man squad to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ahead of both games but injuries to some of the key players have forced the changes.
According to Own Goal Nigeria, a final 25-man list is set to be picked and announced to the public by the NFF next week with as many as 10 players being axed from the initial list submitted.
Samuel Chukwueze, Bruno Onyemaechi, Moses Simon, Tyrone Ebuehi, and Zaidu Sanusi are some of the Super Eagles players currently battling with injuries and most likely will miss the World Cup qualifiers.
