Nigerians are calling on Crystal Palace winger, Michael Olise to switch his international allegiance from France to the Super Eagles are being dropped from their Euro 2024 squad.

The 22-year-old winger was left out by Didier Deschamps in his final Les Blues team despite a fine season in the English Premier League with Palace where he notched up 10 goals and provided five assists in just 18 games.

According to the Daily Post, Olise is still eligible to represent Nigeria at the international level courtesy of his birth as he was born in London to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother.

The Crystal Palace winger is also eligible to represent France, and Algeria through his parents, and England due to the place of his birth.

It is unclear what Olise’s next move will be after missing out on France’s squad for Euro 2024, but Nigerians have beckoned on the winger to consider switching his allegiance to the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, some die-hard Nigerian supporters took to X (formerly Twitter) to plead with Olise to consider playing for the Super Eagles after he was dropped from the France squad for Euro 2024.

Nigerian supporter, Clinton Eleto, beckoned on the Nigeria Football Federation to lock down Olise for the Super Eagles.

Olise has featured for France’s Under-21s but is yet to make an appearance for the senior national team and is eligible to play for the Super Eagles.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigeria have been handed another lifeline in their pursuit of England-born winger Olise.

The Crystal Palace forward was left out of France's squad for the European Championship in Germany this summer.

Despite being in red-hot form for the Eagles this season, he could not make France coach Didier Deschamps' final team for the tournament.
