Lamine Yamal produced yet another awe-inspiring performance for FC Barcelona as they tightened their grip on second place with a 2-0 win against Almeria on Thursday night.

A double from Fermin Lopez helped La Blaugrana inflict further misery on the already relegated Almeria side at the Power Horse Stadium.

While Lopez's goals secured the three points for Xavi Hernandez's side in their pursuit of securing the runner-up position behind rivals Real Madrid, it was Yamal who stole the spotlight with a moment of brilliance.

The La Masia graduate, tipped to be part of Spain's Euro 2024 squad barring any setbacks, reaffirmed why Xavi has dubbed him the 'chosen one' at the club, Tribuna reports

Lamine embarrasses Almeria star with insane dribble

Lamine mesmerised spectators with his exceptional dribbling skills, leaving Almeria defender Bruno Langa stranded.

Despite a heavy first touch that appeared to put him at risk of losing possession, Yamal deftly kept control of the ball with an outstretched leg, evading Langa's attempts to intercept.

With finesse and agility, the 16-year-old swiftly manoeuvred past his marker, threading the ball through Langa's legs before leaving him trailing behind, unable to catch up.

How fans reacted to Lamine's 'filthy' dribble

@IbrahimHorlanr1 hailed the youngster:

"Yamal is too good."

@uchuddy10 aimed a dig at Real Madrid:

"Now I see Madrid fans are scared of him😂. They know he’ll be a big problem for them in future 😂😂."

@aodhanmin described the La Masia graduate as:

"The most promising talent."

@saadsardar5454, on the other hand, simply said:

"Incredible."

@FCB_Duke also added:

"Starboy."

Lamine Yamal labelled 'chosen one' at Barca

Sports Brief also reported that FC Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez has bestowed upon Lamine Yamal the title of the 'chosen one'.

Yamal, who received his debut start against Real Betis on April 29, 2023, has earned praise from Xavi for his talent and contributions to the team.

Xavi emphasised Yamal's transformative presence, acknowledging him as a game-changer on the pitch. Nevertheless, he also acknowledged that Yamal's game still needs improvement.
