Samuel Chukwueze has been ruled out for the rest of the 2023/24 season after tests revealed the Nigerian winger had injured his left thigh during AC Milan’s 5-1 win over Cagliari.
The 24-year-old forward, who has had a mixed first season in Italy, was replaced after the first half by Rafael Leao after picking up the injury which is now confirmed to be more serious than first feared.
According to Sporting Sun, Chukwueze has been ruled out for several weeks after tests confirmed the Super Eagles winger had a Grade one lesion to the femoral bicep in the left thigh.
The former Villareal player, who has only scored three goals this season for AC Milan, is expected to miss the Rossoneri’s remaining two games of the season against Torino and Salernitana.
