The Portuguese tactician is set to see off his contract with Os Tricolores Os Petrolíferos, which expires at the end of the season.

“Outgoing Petro de Luanda head coach Alexandre Santos has emerged as a frontrunner for the vacant Kaizer Chiefs job, and he could potentially bring a new era of success to the club.”
“Angolan media reported recently that Santos (47) will not continue with Petro as he has not reached the semi-finals of the CAFCL this season; his contract with the club expires at the end of this current season.”
Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca are also making efforts to land the 47-year-old, but Chiefs are said to be closing in on his signature.
Santos is set to win a third league title for the Angolan club, having also led the club to the CAF Champions League semi-finals in the past two seasons.

Khune's future remains uncertain
Sports Brief earlier reported that as Itumeleng Khune's contract with Kaizer Chiefs nears its end, the veteran goalkeeper is faced with a critical decision about his future.
While rumours swirl about his potential role as the team's next goalkeeper coach, Khune has clarified that he's not ready to hang up his boots just yet.
