A former Barcelona player is facing identity fraud allegations at Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest after signing for the team in the January transfer window.
Edgar Le signed for Bucharest, his eighth club since leaving Barcelona in 2015, having made his debut under Luis Enrique and won the 2015 Copa del Rey.
He has played in the top-flight leagues of the Netherlands, France, and Turkey. He was at Istanbul Basaksehir before his contract was terminated and joined Bucharest.
Bucharest accuses ex-Barcelona star of identity fraud
Per Football Espana, it is alleged Edgar Le failed to turn up at the club, and instead, sent his twin brother Edelino Le, who last played for Polish club Tluchovia in 2023, to take his place.

The club's suspicions were raised when it could not communicate with the player in English, even though it was convinced he spoke the language.
The suspected twin brother also failed to provide his driving license when asked, further raising the alertness of the club around the situation, and club president Florian Prunea confirmed the news:
“It seemed surreal. I wondered if I was still sleeping! I started making phone calls and talking to friends, and the news was true. I can't believe it. Nobody denied it. I found out that he has a twin brother who also plays soccer.”
As per Marca, if the ridiculous situation is confirmed, then Dinamo could be docked the eight points they accumulated with Edelino in the side over five games.
