Dominic Solanke is one of the Premier League’s hottest strikers this season and his outstanding performances for AFC Bournemouth could earn him a spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad.

The 26-year-old has broken numerous records in the 2023/24 season, one of which saw him become the first Cherries player to score 19 goals in the Premier League.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola, has thrown his weight behind Solanke, urging Gareth Southgate to include the in-form striker in England's Euro 2024 squad.

The 26-year-old forward is also eligible to represent Nigeria with new Super Eagles coach, Finidi George, said to be keen to invite the former Liverpool youngster to play for the three-time African champions.

If Solanke decides to dump the Three Lions for the Super Eagles, he would follow in the footsteps of the likes of Ademola Lookman and Ola Aina, who featured for England youth teams before representing Nigeria at senior level.

Iraola wants Solanke in Euros

Meanwhile, Bournemouth manager, Iraola, believes Solanke is good enough to lead England’s attack at Euros 2024 and said the Nigeria-eligible striker deserves a call-up to the Three Lions, GOAL reports.

"I don't know what more he can do. I think he's very complete and I think he will be there. He has been really consistent and proven he is a very good player," the manager stated.

However, Solanke will have to compete for a spot in the England team for the 2024 Euros against other world-class forwards like Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins, and Cole Palmer.

Solanke among EPL’s most improved stars

Sports Brief also reported that Solanke has revived his career at Bournemouth this season and has been rated as one of the most-improved players.

The 26-year-old has had a very impressive season with the Cherries, coming up among the top goal-scorers in the Premier League with 19 goals.

Solanke started his professional career at Chelsea before moving to Liverpool, ultimately ending up with the Cherries after struggling with the Reds.
