Nigerian coach, Finidi George, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to former Super Eagles teammate Tijani Babangida, who lost members of his family in a car accident.
The former Ajax winger was involved in a car accident along the Kaduna – Zaria Road with his brother, Ibrahim Babangida, who was a member of the FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning Golden Eaglets in 1993, losing his life instantly.
Babangida's wife was also in the car, and she's currently recovering from facial surgery, but his son, Fadil, couldn't make it through the surgery.
Many fans and stakeholders in the Nigerian football scene have been paying their condolences to the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria.

Finidi George took to his official handle on X (formerly Twitter) to commiserate with his former national teammate and friend.
"Deepest condolences to my friend and brother, Tijani Babangida, on his very painful bereavement," he said.
"I send my prayers of comfort and strength at this trying time of mourning. May the souls of the departed find rest in God 🙏🏿🕊️"

NFF extend condolences to Babangida
Sports Brief earlier reported on NFF president, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, and other executives paying condolence visits to Babangida at the hospital.
The delegation visited him at a hospital in Abuja, expressing solidarity and prayers for his and his wife's recovery,
