Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique is confident that his team will emerge "stronger" in Kylian Mbappe's absence next season.

Enrique's assertion comes hot on the heels of Mbappe's official announcement on Friday, May 10, regarding his departure from PSG in the summer.

After seven successful seasons with the Parisians, the 25-year-old is set to bid farewell.

What's next for Mbappe after announcing his PSG departure?

Mbappe's final home game at the Parc des Princes is scheduled against Toulouse on May 12, followed by the French Cup final against Olympique Lyon, per 90Min.

The French captain's anticipated move to Real Madrid upon the expiration of his contract has been a long-standing speculation.

It's expected that he'll inherit the No. 10 shirt from Luka Modric, who will depart in the summer.

Mbappe's potential addition to Madrid's already formidable lineup, featuring Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo upfront, supported by Bellingham, could amplify their threat significantly.

Enrique insists PSG will be better without Mbappe

Despite the perceived decline of strength at PSG with Mbappe's departure, Enrique holds a different perspective.

The former FC Barcelona coach believes that his side will thrive and even improve without their talismanic forward in the upcoming season.

“We all knew that Kylian Mbappé was gonna leave PSG. No changes, it’s all the same for us. I wish Mbappe all the best,” he said, as cited by Fabrizio Romano.
“I remain convinced that next season we will be stronger. Mark my words. PSG will be stronger next season”.

Mbappe receives call from Madrid president

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kylian Mbappe reportedly received a phone call from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez following PSG's Champions League elimination.

According to reports from Spain, the Los Blancos chief allegedly reached out to Mbappe on Tuesday night after Luis Enrique's team was ousted by Borussia Dortmund, offering his condolences.

He supposedly remarked, "I hope to see us at Wembley. It would have been a pleasure to face off against you."
