Former Chelsea midfielder, John Obi-Mikel, will make a glorious return to Stamford Bridge years after leaving the Premier League club to further his career.
The ex-Nigeria captain will be involved in a Soccer Aid charity game organized by UNICEF to be played in June at the home ground of the Blues, where the 37-year-old spent most of his playing career.
According to Complete Sports, Mikel has been confirmed as part of the World Eleven for the game that will tackle an English XI side that will feature ex-Chelsea players Frank Lampard and John Terry.
The 37-year-old midfielder, who joined the English club in 2006, was part of Chelsea’s successful team alongside Frank Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba, and Michael Essien who won the UEFA Champions League in 2012.

Soccer Aid is an organization that arranges charity matches, and their next event will be on June 9 at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium, Daily Post NG reports.
The charity match will feature legendary England soccer stars, both male and female, taking on Soccer Aid World IX will have celebrities like Usain Bolt, Eden Hazard, Roberto Carlos, and Tommy Fury.
