Harry Kane has reacted to going another season without a trophy following Bayern Munich's Champions League on Wednesday night, May 8.

Despite his goalscoring prowess, Kane has never won a major trophy in his football career.

His sensational move to Bayern Munich last summer was expected to afford him a dream opportunity of laying his hands on a major title.

However, SPORTbible reports that won't be the case, with the Bundesliga giants set to end the season trophyless after a disappointing campaign under Thomas Tuchel.

The Bavarians' impressive 12-year streak of winning the Bundesliga title was recently ended by Bayer Leverkusen, who remain unbeaten so far this term.

Having also been eliminated from the DFB Pokal, the Champions League represented the only opportunity for Kane to win silverware.

However, Tuchel's charges were eliminated by Real Madrid in the semi-finals after losing 4-3 on aggregate to end any hopes of a title this season.

Kane reacts to Bayern's defeat

Kane has now taken to social media to break his silence in the wake of Bayern's painful loss at Santiago Bernabeu.

In a post shared on his X account, the England skipper admitted he was disappointed with the defeat but expressed admiration for the team's overall performance.

"Gutted. Last night was tough to take," he posted on X.
"Proud of how we battled over the two legs which says everything you need to know about the spirit of this team and how far we can go."

Tuchel explains why he subbed off Kane

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Thomas Tuchel explaining why he subbed off Kane during the Champions League semi-final.

The German boss came under heavy criticism due to the tactical move, with some contending it contributed to Bayern's elimination.

Alphonso Davies came off the bench to give Bayern the lead.
