Borussia Dortmund have sent former star Jude Bellingham a message ahead of their Champions League final meeting.

Bellingham spent more than three years at Dortmund between 2020 and 2023 before he sealed a dream move to Real Madrid.

According to Sky Sports, Real splashed an initial £88.5million to land the former Birmingham City star.

However, barely months after his move, Bellingham is scheduled to come up against Dortmund in the final of the Champions League.

The German giants sailed through on Tuesday night, May 7, after seeing off Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final.

The Edin Terzic-tutored side silenced PSG 2-0 on aggregate, with Mats Hummels scoring in the second leg.

They will now face serial European champions Real in the final of the tournament in Wembley.

Dortmund send Bellingham message

Sportskeeda reports that Dortmund have since sent Bellingham a message ahead of the somewhat awkward reunion.

The Bundesliga side shared a photo of the midfielder alongside Marcos Reus on X, with the caption:

"Hey, Jude."

Dortmund's tweet sparked reactions on the platform, with @LFCGeezy posting:

"Hopefully he does Reus a favour."

@Ogo4200 reckoned:

"We'll rather see Bellingham win than Reus win."

@ellyserwaaa concluded:

"Please tell Jude not to score against his former club."

Bellingham has been impressive for Real since he joined them, with the 20-year-old playing a key part in helping them lift the La Liga crown this season.

The Englishman has scored 18 league goals and bagged four assists in the process.

Bellingham's Ballon d'Or hopes tumble

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Bellingham's odds of winning this year's Ballon d'Or gong plummeting.

The ex-Birmingham City ace is among the frontrunners for the prestigious award.

However, his uninspiring performance against Bayern Munich in the first leg saw his hopes of carting home the prize tumble.
