Paris Saint-Germain were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League last night after a 2-0 aggregate loss to Borussia Dortmund, and Kylian Mbappe reportedly received a phone call.
The French star was not at his best in the two knockout games and admitted as much in the post-match interview, though PSG were also unlucky in the second leg at the Parc des Princes.
The match was the unofficial end of the road with PSG for the winger, as it means he can no longer win the Champions League with them amid his imminent departure in the summer.
What Perez told Mbappe on the phone
It is an open secret that the France international will join Real Madrid next season as there is already an agreement in place between the two parties, even though they have remained quiet about it.

According to Spanish paper, Defensa Central, Los Blancos president, Florentino Perez, reportedly phoned Mbappe last night after Luis Enrique’s side was eliminated and offered his condolences.
He allegedly said, 'I hope we can be at Wembley. It would have been a pleasure to play against you.'
The two parties are not expected to announce their agreement until after the season, even though BBC Sports claimed an announcement would be made after one of the team exited the UCL.
Mbappe storms out of interview
Sports Brief also recently reported on Mbappe storming out of an interview after he was asked a question about Real Madrid following Paris Saint-Germain’s UCL elimination.

FootballThe former Monaco star was asked if he would support Madrid in their semi-final second-leg tie against Bayern Munich and he was clearly not pleased with the question.
Madrid decide Mbappe's number
Sports Brief also reported that Madrid have already chosen Mbappe's shirt number. The 25-year-old could play for the 14-time European champions next season.
The number decided on is an iconic shirt at the club, and it gives a big hint about the future of the current occupant, who is likely not to be in Madrid next season.
