Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has a theory about what two players discussed after the team was defeated 4-0 by Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
Erik ten Hag's men were totally outclassed by Palace in new manager Oliver Glasner’s 11th game in charge, completely outplaying the Red Devils for 90 minutes.
United's transfer target, Michael Olise, scored twice, while Jean-Philipe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell scored the other goals to hand Man Utd their biggest defeat this season.
Scholes’ theory on Antony and Mount’s chat
Mason Mount and Antony were caught on camera after the loss having a chat, but the Brazilian midfielder covered his mouth to avoid fans picking up what he was saying.

Scholes has a theory about what the two players might have been discussing based on the three-finger gesture made by the former Ajax attacker.
“He is saying something to Mason Mount he is obviously not happy with… People are obviously talking and saying things he [Antony] doesn't agree with. When he's putting those three fingers up, maybe he's saying we should be having three in midfield, why don't we have three there?” he said via Mirror UK.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher was unimpressed with the conversation and hit out at both players for the public debate when they should get down the tunnel.
“Just get off the pitch! Talking and whispering behind your hand, you have been absolutely awful. They are probably talking about one of the players, somebody else or the setup or the manager,” he said via MEN.

The Brazilian has been most scrutinised since his £86 million move in 2022; he is yet to prove he is worth half the money.
Carragher issues advice to Casemiro
Sports Brief also reported on Jamie Carragher issuing some advice to Casemiro to assess his career at the top level after a disaster class against Crystal Palace.
The English pundit echoed suggestions from the fans that the legendary midfielder should rather leave Europe for the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer.
