Napoli are reportedly lining up Nigerian striker Victor Boniface and Girona attacker Artem Dovbyk as potential replacements for Chelsea transfer target Victor Osimhen.

The Italian side could lose Osimhen to top European clubs in the summer, with Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain all interested in him.

The Super Eagles striker has been on top of his game since joining Napoli in 2020 from Ligue 1 side Lille.

The 25-year-old striker signed a new deal with Napoli in December, and the Serie A giants value him at around €120 million.

A number of players have been linked with the Italian side as possible replacements for the Nigerian international, but two names are top of the list.

According to a report by Napoli Magazine, as per Soccernet, Napoli are said to be pushing for either Boniface or Dovbyk if Osimhen eventually leaves the club in the summer.

Boniface is having an excellent first season with Bayer Leverkusen and led the team to their first-ever Bundesliga title this campaign.

The former Bodo/Glimt striker has scored 19 goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions for the Die Werkself this campaign.

The German side could place a heavy price tag on the Super Eagles striker, and Napoli will have to cough up between €50-60 million for the Nigerian international.

Dovbyk is also having a good season with Girona, leading the Catalan club to their first-ever UEFA Champions League qualification, and currently sits on top of the Pichichi rankings with the most goals in La Liga.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Osimhen scored a superb header against Super Eagles teammate, Maduka Okoye, during Napoli's draw with Udinese in the Italian Serie A on Monday evening.

The 25-year-old scored Napoli's only goal of the game, but they could not secure all three points as former Nigeria youth star, Isaac Success' late goal earned the White and Blacks a deserved 1-1 draw at the Bluenergy Stadium.
