Senegal captain, Kalidou Koulibaly, has become the latest footballer to invest in a football club after joining the ownership of French lower-tier side CS Sedan Ardennes.
The Al-Hilal defender follows in the footsteps of compatriot Sadio Mane, who bought French club Bourges Club last year.
Koulibaly will join Teddy Pellerin as owners of the club as he plans for life after football by starting his journey in the football business.
The announcement of the partnership was made on Monday, May 6, 2024, in a communique released by the Board of Directors of the club.

"A project focused on the training of young players. We are convinced that this collaboration will strengthen our club and contribute to the development of football in our region," part of the statement read, as reported by France Bleu.
CS Sedan Ardennes were demoted to Regional 3 due to financial problems, but the club quickly made a return to Regional 2. Their promotion inspired the French-born Senegalese's decision to pump money into the club.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Sedan, David Herbillon shared his excitement following Koulibaly's decision to invest in the club.
"The act of Renaissance of the club was laid with the rise on Saturday, today the announcement of the project of rise in 4 years in N2 carried by Teddy Pellerin and by Kalidou Coulibaly, world-famous player, gives new life to the CSSA. Realistic, solid, and ambitious project," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
