The draw for the Africa Cup of nations is finally out, with some mouth-watering fixtures on the horizon in the group stages.
For Kenya, unfortunately, the Harambee Stars will not be participating in next edition of the spectacle as they failed to make it past the qualifiers despite a bright finish against Togo in March where they won 2-1.
The official draw was done in a star-studded ceremony on Tuesday evening in Yaoundé. Cameroon, which is the host nation for the delayed tournament.
Tournament favourites and defending champions Algeria have been pooled in the same group as Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea and Ivory Coast, while hosts Cameroon, which is the second most titled nation in the competition, are in Group A with Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape Verde.
Group D is arguably the group of death as it comprises seven-time winners of the CAN Egypt, who will face Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.
Senegal, led by Liverpool front man Sadio Mane and heavy favourites for the title, are in Group B alongside Malawi, Guinea and Zimbabwe.
Minions Gambia and Mauritania are in Group F with Tunisia and Mali.

Knockout round qualification
The top two nations in each round will gain automatic qualification to the knockout phrase of the competition while the remaining four slots will be taken up by the four best third-place finishers
