Super Eagles legend, Segun Odegbami has ignored Emmanuel Amunike while naming the perfect assistant coach for the newly appointed manager of the Nigeria national team, Finidi George.
The former Nigerian international hailed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for opting for a local coach to replace Jose Peseiro. He's convinced Finidi is the perfect replacement for the Portuguese tactician.
NFF failed to confirm Finidi's assistant in their official statement, and it was the most talked about issue concerning the appointment of the Enyimba FC boss.
Reports have linked Amunike and Daniel Amokachi to the vacant Super Eagles assistant manager's role.

Odegbami, in his weekly column in the Vanguard, handpicked Sylvanus Okpala for the former Real Betis winger, according to a report by Soccernet.
"Finidi must not embark on this journey alone and must have assistants that will add value to the technical team," he said.
"In my opinion that I know will be vehemently opposed to by several journalists, particularly, is Sylvanus Okpala."
The 1980 AFCON winner went further to explain why he wants the former Nigerian international to be Finidi's assistant rather than Amunike.
"Largely under-rated by those who can't see beneath his seeming brashness and loudness, 'Quicksilver' packs unique, deep technical knowledge of football that can complement Finidi's calmness and intelligence," he added.
Finidi's first official game as Super Eagles manager is the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa, which would be followed by a match against the Benin Republic.
