Mikel Arteta has addressed rumours surrounding Gabriel Jesus's future at Arsenal.

Jesus joined the Gunners from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 for £45 million.

However, he has endured a frustrating spell at the Emirates since his arrival, with injuries affecting his progress at the north London club.

The Brazilian striker has managed just four Premier League goals in 24 appearances this season, sparking speculation he could be shipped out at the end of the season.

According to Football London, it was recently reported that Arsenal would consider offers for the Brazil international at the end of the season, with funds raised from his transfer expected to be redirected to the club's summer targets.

Arteta responds on Jesus's Arsenal future

But speaking ahead of Arsenal's Premier League meeting with Bournemouth on Saturday, Arteta denied any plans by the club to offload the striker.

“I don’t know where reports about Gabriel Jesus exit are coming from," Arteta said via Fabrizio Romano.
“We have NO intention of letting Gabriel leave," he added.

Arteta's affirmation comes at a time when the Premier League title contenders have been linked with a move for Newcastle United ace Alexander Isak.

Arsenal are understood to be keen to strengthen their squad in the summer, with the signing of a prolific striker a top priority.

Isak is said to have been shortlisted for the role and is now top of Arsenal's transfer wishlist.

3 players Arsenal could sign

In related news, Sports Biref also reported on three players Arsenal could sign at the end of the season.

Despite the Gunners appearing solid and compact this term, Arteta is expected to enter the market for new signings.

The Premier League leaders have already been linked to three players, including two Newcastle United stars.

The Magpies are set to offload some top players in a bid to balance their books.
