Finidi George is reportedly set to appoint a foreigner as his assistant after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) appointed him permanently as the Super Eagles head coach.
The ex-Real Betis midfielder took temporary charge of the national team in March after the departure of Jose Peseiro, whom he worked under as assistant coach for 20 months.
According to the Daily Post, Finidi has been given a free hand by the NFF to select his backroom team including his assistants and the Enyimba coach will reportedly pick a foreigner for the role.
Former Nigeria internationals - Emmanuel Amunike, Daniel Amokachi, and Michael Nsien - were among names being touted to be part of the new technical crew working with the national team.
