Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has issued a cautionary message to his side as they prepare for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Ancelotti's squad will go head-to-head with the Bavarian giants across two legs, competing for a coveted spot in the final against either Borussia Dortmund or Paris Saint-Germain.

With an impressive combined tally of 21 Champions League trophies between them, both clubs are eager to add to their illustrious collection of titles as they vie for a place in the Grand Finale.

Los Blancos hold a slight edge over the Bavarians in their storied history of clashes.

According to UEFA records, Madrid has secured victory 12 times compared to Bayern's 11, with three matches ending in draws out of their 26 encounters.

Ancelotti warns Madrid of 'dangerous' Bayern

Despite this historical advantage, the Italian coach remains wary of the threat posed by their opponents in what promises to be a monumental showdown on Tuesday.

“We’re preparing to play a big team with lots of qualities," Don Carlo said at his pre-match conference, as cited by ESPN.

The 64-year-old remains confident in his team's ability to come out on top in this match, despite holding Bayern in high regard.

“We are confident and have faith, but we have respect for Bayern Munich. They haven’t played a fantastic season in the Bundesliga but they played very well in two matches against Arsenal. This shows the quality of this club.

He also highlighted key areas where the German giants could pose a threat to his side. Therefore, the 14-time European champions must remain focused to secure their spot in the final once again.

“They are strong in transition; they can play in different ways, but they are very dangerous. We need to focus and take ourselves to the final. That’s our goal.”

Ancelotti reacts to 'Gnabry will score' prediction

Sports Brief also reported that Ancelotti responded to Thomas Tuchel's prediction about Serge Gnabry's goal-scoring abilities in the upcoming Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday, April 30.

Tuchel, nearing the end of his tenure at Bayern Munich, made a bold assertion ahead of the much-anticipated showdown against Los Blancos.
