Former Real Madrid player, Mutiu Adepoju, has shared his thoughts after Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) appointed Finidi George as the new coach of the Super Eagles.
Finidi is replacing Jose Peseiro after working as an assistant to the Portuguese for 20 months.
Adepoju, who played alongside Finidi in the national team, congratulated the former Ajax winger on his X handle as he assumed the senior head coach role of the Super Eagles.
"Congratulations to my brother, Finidi George, for getting the final nod as Super Eagles Head Coach. Let's join hands and wish him the best of success," he said on X.

Adepoju claimed it's a new beginning of good things for Nigerian football, with a local coach taking the helm of affairs of the Super Eagles team, according to a report by Soccernet.
"This is a beginning, and I believe that it is going to be the beginning of good things for Nigerian football," the former Real Sociedad midfielder said.
"I want to wish him all the best and all the support. I solicit support from everybody, all quarters, to help him succeed because his success is a success for Nigeria and the Super Eagles, so I call on everybody to support him, and I believe that success will be for the Super Eagles."
