Samuel Chukwueze’s dream move to AC Milan has not worked out well for the Super Eagles winger as he has found it difficult to break into the club’s first team this season.
The 24-year-old has started only four of the 14 matches played by the Rossoneri since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, with the manager going with United States stars Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah ahead of the Nigerian winger.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, a respected Italian journalist, Fabrizio Ponciroli has argued a case for Chukwueze and has slammed AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli over his treatment of the Nigerian.
"I don't know what Pioli sees in Musah, there's Chukwueze in good condition and I don't know why he never plays.

"I think Pioli has lost control of the situation. He was certainly convinced of these choices, it's true that talking about them later is easier, but from before I already considered these choices to be wrong."
Chukwueze joined AC Milan last summer from Villareal amid much fanfare, but the move has turned out to being a nightmare for the Nigerian winger who has endured a difficult first season in Italy.
Chukwueze may get Milan lifeline
Meanwhile, Chukwueze could finally get regular first-team action at AC Milan with the imminent sacking of their head coach, Pioli, at the end of the season, PUNCH reports.
The Rossoneri board appears to have lost faith in Pioli who led the club to the 2022/23 Serie A title and would seek a managerial change when the season ends.

Arrigo Sacchi delighted with Chukwueze
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that AC Milan's legendary manager, Arrigo Sacchi, has commented on Chukwueze's recent superb form with the Rossoneri after a poor start to the season.
The former Villarreal star could not break into Pioli's starting lineup, with the Italian coach preferring former Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic to the Nigerian.
Chukwueze has started to gain the trust of the Milan boss. He has made the starting lineup in the last two games and registered one goal and one assist.
