Antonio Rudiger's carefree demeanour was in full flow just minutes before Real Madrid's biggest game of their La Liga campaign.

The Spanish league leaders welcomed defending champions, Barcelona, to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for the latest instalment of El Clasico on April 21.

The match was pivotal, given that Los Blancos held an eight-point advantage over their only possible title challengers. A win would see Carlo Ancelotti have one hand on the trophy with six games left.

And win they did courtesy of a Jude Bellingham strike in stoppage time. However, the hosts had to come from behind twice to record their fourth successive win over their eternal rivals.

Andreas Christensen opened the scoring after just four minutes, but Vinicius Junior restored parity from the spot in the 18th minute.

Fermin Lopex restored La Blaugrana's lead in the 68th minute, but Lucas Vasquez cancelled it out five minutes later.

Antonio Rudiger tries to prank police officer

Rudiger played an integral part in the win, but it was his behaviour before the game started that excited fans. The German defender was spotted trying to prank a police officer in the tunnel as they stepped out for warm-up sessions.

Unluckily for the former Chelsea star, his attempt failed miserably as the security official remained unmoved by his antics.

Madrid Xtra reports that Rudiger later sent his shirt to the police officer following the vital win over Xavi Hernandez's side.

Why La Liga doesn't have goal-line technology

Sports Brief has also reported on why La Liga doesn't use goal-line technology after Lamine Yamal was kept out by Andriy Lunin.

The ball appeared to have crossed the line, but the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled the keeper had done enough to keep it out.

The incident elicited sharp reactions about why the league doesn't use goal-line technology, which has been in place since 2014.
