Steve Nicol has suggested that Victor Osimhen would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool and has urged the Reds to sign the Napoli forward as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has gained iconic status with the Merseysiders since joining from AS Roma in 2017, winning the Premier League title once and the top scorer's award multiple times.
According to Soccernet, Nicol, who featured as a right-back for Liverpool, believes the Egyptian is near his exit at Anfield and wants Liverpool to sign Osimhen as his replacement.
"The fact that Salah is leaving, whether this year or next year, Osimhen? I think he would be fantastic for Liverpool. In the middle of the park, we’ve just signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai; Endo’s turned out to be incredible - you need someone who will run all day and give it to Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, and Salah."
