Former Liverpool midfielder, Naby Keita could face sanctions from Werder Bremen after refusing to travel with the team to the Bay Arena for the Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Guinea captain decided to abandon the trip after he was informed he would not be starting the game at Leverkusen on Sunday.
Keita and his agent are expected to meet the officials of the club on Monday, where a decision could be taken for withdrawing from the squad.
According to Werder Bremen's Managing Director, Clemens Fritz, the player will face consequences for his action.

"After Naby found out yesterday that he would not be playing from the start, he decided not to get on the bus but to go home. We will talk to him and his agent tomorrow about the consequences and how to proceed," he said in a statement on the club's social media pages.
The Guinea international joined Werder Bremen last summer on a free transfer from English giants Liverpool, where he won the Premier League, the Champions League, and the FA Cup.
Since joining the German outfit, he has made only five Bundesliga appearances, per Transfermarkt.
