Victor Boniface was back to his best after he helped Bayer Leverkusen preserve their unbeaten run this season as they sealed a comfortable 2-0 win over West Ham in the Europa League.
The Nigerian forward, who only just returned from an adductor injury, got one better over Ghanaian winger Mohammed Kudus after netting Leverkusen’s second goal and mimicking his goal celebration.
According to Complete Sports, Boniface was introduced into the game in the 76th minute and doubled the German’s lead in the 91st minute as he rose to head home Jonas Hofmann’s cross.
The goal also marked his fifth in six games in the Europa League for Bayer Leverkusen this season and his first since returning from a three-month injury layoff due to an adductor injury.
