Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi has marked his return from injury by scoring a sensational goal during his side's 2-2 draw with Colorado.

According to Bleacher Report, the Argentine had a goal before he was forced off 50 minutes into the match.

However, over the weekend, the Barcelona icon gave MLS fans a piece of what they have been missing after he netted a sublime goal when Inter Miami hosted Colorado Rapids on Saturday at the DRV PNK Stadium.

Sportskeeda reports that Rafael Navarro opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of half-time from the penalty spot.

However, Colorado's lead was shortlived, with Messi equalising for the hosts shortly after the break with a sensational strike.

The Argentine superstar received the ball from the left and a few yards outside Colorado's box before he unleashed a brilliant first-time finish to make it 1-1 for the Herons.

Tata Martino's side took the lead just three minutes after Messi's strike via Leonardo Afonso, only for the visitors to restore parity with two minutes left on the clock through Cole Basset.

Inter Miami will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on Monterrey on Thursday, April 11, in a CONCACAF Champions Cup match.

Mo Salah praises Messi

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on Liverpool star Mo Salah singling out Messi for praise when asked to name his favourite Argentine player.

The former Barca star is widely regarded as one of the best players in the history of the game.

Messi has won a record eight Ballon d'Or awards in his career.
