Sekhukhune United coach, Lehlohonolo Seema, has shed light on the reasons behind former Orlando Pirates midfielder Collins Makgaka's struggle to secure significant game time since joining the club.

Makgaka moved to Sekhukhune last October after a stint with the Buccaneers spanning three seasons.

Despite attempting trials at Stellenbosch and AmaZulu, the 27-year-old failed to secure a transfer, leaving him limited options.

Fortunately, he found a lifeline with the Hedgehogs late last year. However, his appearances have been sparse, with only one game against TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout under his belt.

Coach Seema clarified Makgaka's situation, stressing tactical decisions and highlighting the need to assess game situations to determine the best time to bring fresh legs.

"You will see him. He is just not in the squad but part of the squad. So it’s just tactical checking on how the game is going. Where do we need to reinforce, or where do we need to get those fresh legs" he said, as quoted by Far Post.

Despite Makgaka's challenges, Sekhukhune continues to perform well in the DStv Premiership, currently third on the log with 34 points after 21 games.
