South African tactician, Pitso Mosimane, has opened up on who was responsible for his Abha Club's 8-0 defeat against a Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr side in the Saudi Pro League.

The Leaders of the South were thrashed at the Al Awwal Park Stadium on Tuesday evening, with Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick and providing two assists.

Senegalese winger, Sadio Mane, was also on the scoresheet alongside Abdulrahman Ghareeb, Abdulmajeed Al Sulayhim, and Abdulaziz Al-Aliwah.

Abha Club currently sits 17th on the Saudi Pro League table with eight games to go this season.

After the demolition from Al-Nassr, Mosimane explained why his team lost and disclosed who should be blamed, according to a report by Soccer Laduma.

"I bear full responsibility," he admitted after the game.
"We must accept the loss after committing many mistakes, and we must learn from this harsh lesson."

The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach also pointed out mistakes made by Mohammed Al Qahtani in the game and dropped some advice for the youngster.

"Al Nassr gave us five goals with serious mistakes. I feel sorry for the player Mohammed Al Qahtani.
"He is a young player and must learn from mistakes in the upcoming matches."

Abha Club would welcome Al Fateh to the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium for their next game in the league on Sunday, April 7.

Fans mock Mosimane after Al-Nassr loss

Sports Brief also reported that Pitso Mosimane faced online trolling after his team's humiliating defeat against Al-Nassr on Tuesday evening.

Social media users used the opportunity during and after the game, with some speculating about Mosimane's potential dismissal due to Abha Club's poor performance.

One fan on X (formerly known as Twitter) remarked, "Pitso Mosimane is getting proper cooking."
