Legendary Real Madrid defender, Marcelo Vieira, has unveiled a star-studded Dream Team of players he had the privilege of sharing the field with during his illustrious football career.

Before gracing the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium with his exceptional talents, the 35-year-old honed his skills at Brazilian league club, Fluminense.

Following his trophy-laden 16-year spell with Los Blancos, Marcelo briefly plied his trade at Olympiacos before returning to his roots in his country.

Throughout his journey, the iconic full-back had the privilege of playing alongside some of football's finest talents, both at club level and with Brazil's national team, earning 56 caps for the Selecao, per Transfermarkt.

When tasked with assembling an ideal XI from the plethora of players he shared a dressing room with, the Real Madrid icon faced a daunting challenge, inevitably leading to some notable exclusions and inclusions.

Marcelo names his Dream Team

The marauding full-back made some intriguing choices for his dream XI, starting with Keylor Navas in goal, favouring the Costa Rican shot-stopper over the legendary Iker Casillas.

In defence, he paired Sergio Ramos with Brazilian stalwart, Thiago Silva, with the iconic Roberto Carlos taking the left-back position, a role Marcelo himself later excelled in.

Surprisingly, he overlooked Dani Alves, likely due to his ties with Barcelona, and instead opted for Rafinha, formerly of Bayern Munich, on the right side of the defence.

In midfield, the 35-year-old went with a familiar trio from his time at Real Madrid: Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric, forming a formidable midfield combination.

For the attacking trio, Neymar Juior was positioned on the left wing, while Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo's close friend, were deployed to operate on the right side.

Leading the line was the legendary Ronaldo Nazario, completing Marcelo's star-studded lineup, as noted by MadridXtra.

Ronaldo includes Marcelo in all-time best XI

In a related report, Sports Brief also explained Cristiano Ronaldo's selection of his all-time best eleven teammates from his illustrious career.

In defence, his picks included Sergio Ramos, Rio Ferdinand, Giorgio Chiellini, and Marcelo, with Chiellini being the sole star representing Juventus.
