Borussia Dortmund forward, Karim Adeyemi, displayed his affection for West African nation, Nigeria, after the Bundesliga victory over Bayern Munich.

The German international scored as Dortmund strolled to a 2-0 win at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

After the game, Adeyemi was spotted wearing Nigeria-inspired socks, showing his love for the country of his father.

In a video shared on social media, the pacy winger had the Nigerian flag printed on his yellow socks with his initials written beneath.

Adeyemi, one of the fastest players in the world, opened the scoring for Dortmund in Der Klassiker after just ten minutes before Julian Ryerson sealed victory seven minutes from time.

The win, which is their first in eleven games against Bayern Munich, sees Dortmund move to fourth place on the Bundesliga table.

Meanwhile, Adeyemi is enjoying a decent campaign, having made 16 appearances and scored three goals in the ongoing season.

He also starred as Dortmund progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, where they will face Atletico Madrid, per UEFA.

Adeyemi visited Nigeria during the winter break to undergo some philanthropic work.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Borussia Dortmund forward, Adeyemi visited Nigeria for the first time during the winter break for philanthropic work.

Adeyemi, born to Nigerian parents in Germany, visited his academy in Nigeria before joining children from Ajeromi. Ifelodun community for an end-of-year party hosted by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation.

The German international also took time to teach the young kids the basics of football as he enjoyed his time in Lagos.

Sports Brief also reported that Borussia Dortmund forward, Adeyemi disclosed the secret behind his supersonic speed.

The German international of Nigerian descent opened up about his blistering pace following his stunning solo goal against Chelsea in the Champions League.

Adeyemi, who holds the record as the fastest player in the Bundesliga, made use of his pace as he bypassed Enzo Fernandez before rounding goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga to score the match-winner, GOAL reports.
