Nottingham Forest coach Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an update about Taiwo Awoniyi's injury ahead of their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.
Awoniyi failed to make the Super Eagles squad for the just concluded international break due to injury as Nigeria defeated Ghana and lost to Mali in Morocco.
The former Liverpool striker also missed Nottingham Forest's last match in the league against Luton Town.
During the press conference ahead of this weekend's fixtures, Santo confirmed that the Nigerian international will not be available for their next two games against Palace and Fulham, according to a report by Complete Sports.

"It is a big blow for us because he (Awoniyi) had just come back (from injury). The importance of Taiwo is huge. He gives us another option," he said.
"I don't know exactly how long he will be out for, but I am positive we are going to see him again this season. He will definitely miss these two games."
The Nigerian striker has scored six goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances in the Premier League for the Tricky Trees this season.
The former Union Berlin star could miss Nigeria's next World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic if he fails to get game time with his club.

Sports Brief earlier reported that an English Premier League side is reportedly interested in signing Awoniyi away from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.
