  • Arsenal are keeping close tabs on at least two Super Eagles forwards
  • Victor Osimhen and Victor Boniface are at the top of Arsenal’s wishlist
  • The Gunners are seeking to sign a new marquee striker in the summer

Arsenal have reportedly compiled a 10-man shortlist of top attackers across Europe’s major leagues as they prepare to sign a marquee center-forward in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners, who are the Premier League’s best-attacking team this season, have played without a recognized number nine this campaign due to the frequent injuries of Gabriel Jesus.

According to the Daily Post, Arsenal have been keeping tabs on two Super Eagles forwards as Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface are reportedly on the club’s wishlist.

Osimhen attracted the Premier League club’s interest after a remarkable 2022/23 season where he scored 26 Serie A goals to lead Napoli to their first league title in 33 years.

Boniface, on the other hand, has been remarkable in his first season in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in Germany’s top flight since joining Bayer Leverkusen last summer from Belgium outfit Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

Arsenal’s 10-man transfer wishlist

1. Ivan Toney (Brentford)

2. Alexander Isak (Newcastle)

3. Viktor Gyoekeres (Sporting CP)

4. Victor Osimhen (Napoli)

5. Lois Openda (RB Leipzig)

6. Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig)

7. Evanilson (Porto)

8. Brian Brobbey (Ajax)

9. Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord)

10. Victor Boniface (Bayer Leverkusen)

Napoli may reduce Osimhen's price tag

Meanwhile, Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Osimhen as Napoli are considering reducing the price tag of the Nigerian striker to allow for his quick sale, Punch NG reports.

The 25-year-old forward is reportedly valued at €130 million by the reigning Italian champions but no club has been able to match that price tag since speculation about his departure surfaced.

Manchester United reportedly prepared an offer of €110m for Osimhen while rivals Chelsea and Arsenal were also said to test the waters for the Napoli striker with an offer of €90m.

Which club will Osimhen choose?

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that transfer expert, Ben Jacobs claims Osimhen could be heading to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer to replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappe.

Jacobs believes Arsenal could have been the perfect destination for the 25-year-old Nigerian forward if he was keen to move to the English Premier League.

Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and PSG are the four clubs currently being linked with an interest in Osimhen in the summer transfer window.
